Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of structure are you?

Our structure is NOT a hotel. It is a Guest House, that is, a family accommodation, with few rooms, less impersonal and with a greater territorial footprint than the hotel. Our services include, in addition to the room and breakfast, air conditioning, free wifi, TV, fridge, safe, hairdryer etc. We do not have the possibility of serving lunch or dinner, bar service, or porterage. The cleaning of the rooms is daily but the change of linen is every 3 days.

Do you have a 24h reception?

Not being a hotel our Guest House does NOT have a reception h24. For this reason, it is FUNDAMENTAL, in order to avoid waiting, to communicate your arrival time in advance. In the confirmation email you will find all our contact details.

how do you check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is from 14.00 to 20.00 (upon communication of the arrival time). For arrivals from 20.00 to 22.00 ( ON REQUEST)  there is a supplement of 20 Euros. After 22.00 we can organize a self check in ( ON REQUEST), without supplement, but this involves the advance payment of the reservation.

Check-out time is before 11.00.

What does breakfast consist of?

Ours is a typical Italian breakfast that consists of coffee (espresso or instant) tea, milk, fruit juices, croissants, sweets or biscuits, rusks or bread, butter, jam, yogurt etc. Unfortunately, the rules of our municipality require that most of the products are pre-packaged and single-dose for health safety. It is a self-service breakfast, not served and, depending on the period, it can be left in your room or in the buffet in the common areas.

Is your B&B in the city center?

We are in a romantic alley in the heart of Trastevere, an ancient district of the historic center of Rome. Exactly behind Piazza Trilussa, the center of Roman nightlife. Our area is one of the most characteristic and genuine of the city, full of typical restaurants, bars and clubs of all kinds. The central position allows you to reach, with a short walk, Piazza Navona, Campo de Fiori, the Pantheon, San Pietro, the Colosseum, the Forums etc.

Where can I park?

Being in the historic center of the city, once you arrive, a car not only is it not necessary, but it is absolutely useless! You can walk to all the places of interest. Our structure has NO parking. You can park on the Lungotevere near Piazza Trilussa, on Via Garibaldi in the direction of Gianicolo, or in a private garage on Viale Trastevere (Trastevere Parking)

Are the rooms accessible for disabled people?

Our Guest House is located in an ancient building of 1600 of only two floors and our rooms are on the ground floor, on the first and second floors. We DO NOT have a lift and it is not wheelchair accessible. The stairs, being ancient, are quite steep. We chose our name, Twenty-six Steps in Trastevere, precisely on the basis of the staircase leading to the second floor that has 26 steps!

Do you have a luggage storage sercive?

We do not have a luggage storage but, on request and if we have the possibility, you can leave your luggage in the common areas.
